Why do we count together? Just to reach a number? To beat our friends into submission?
No. We count to be together. That is the spirit of the count.
So then we must ask: what does a ban mean to the count? Every ban is a slight, causing direct harm. Each ban diminishes the spirit of the count.
The count serves no purpose in life if you must remove all your friends along the way.
Bans should only be used in the most dire of circumstances. Simply breaking a count is by no means substantial enough for a ban. Counting is an expression of one's self and breaking said count in unique ways is an extension of that. The natural order rules that the higher the count, the less likely personal expression will purposefully sabotage a run. Historically, this has resulted in no sabotage on a count greater than 15. Thus, no bans have been necessary for the purposes of continuing our current order.
User @psyop is a classic avant-garde counter, having only broken 5 counts, but in a meaningful way each time. The totality of his breaks have only reached a loss of 28, yet his expression has been hindered in the past by an unfounded ban. This is not the way the count is meant to be held. This is not in keeping with the spirit of the count.
