Unfortunately our sacred order has been stained by cruel punishments doled out to our most innovative minds. Moderation has been ham-fisted—reactionary—lead by an individual hell-bent on his own narrow image of the count progressing.
If you have been reading in order you may already be familiar with @Mr. Silicate Powder, notorious for having the largest record of broken counts. It's ironic then, for him to be the primary antagonist of our order's darkest hour. On 2/17/26, prodded by @Pig, @Mr. Silicate Powder banned users @psyop and @Dr. Salt for breaking the count in ways that did not infringe on the far-outdated rules. @psyop was a warrior for binary counting, and @Dr. Salt pioneered counting in wingdings.
These instances did not break the count by law, and so @Mr. Silicate Powder did not act immediately. However when @psyop broke a one-digit count, he took the opportunity and lashed out.
A count of 7 being broken was no major event to the order by this point. We had lost far greater counts, many in the triple digits by this point. In fact our record, a count of 830, had been lost by @Mr. Silicate Powder and @Pig prior to this. But @Mr. Silicate Powder was too far gone by this point to see clearly. Too enraged to take any action besides lash out.
User @Dr. Salt saw this ban, and came to @psyop's defense.
@Dr. Salt made a critical error. He thought it made sense to talk about counting in the counting channel.
@Mr. Silicate Powder has never been one to clearly explain or follow rules, however. This was no fault of @Dr. Salt's. He had sent text in the count channel while there was no ongoing count, but @Mr. Silicate Powder and @Pig were seeking blood.
Sending text in the count channel could be seen as an act of blasphemy if it had been properly established as such ahead of time. But it had not been. In fact, the order had established a precedent for text in the count channel previously. And that precedent was provided by none other that @Mr. Silicate Powder himself.
That's right. @Mr. Silicate Powder himself had sent text. In the counting channel. Two weeks prior to this very ban.
@Mr. Silicate Powder has irreversibly scarred the order through the systematic abuse of moderation.
